I wear many hats and when I am lucky, I can write from a part of me that’s free of gender and roles. The words here are infused with tender lessons, carefully collected from a rural childhood, military officership, and my work in pediatric oncology and child psychiatry–my practices of gratitude and diligence.
Aside from writing, I teach yoga, TRE®, and mindfulness, and I consult with schools, families and agencies to better understand how trauma and stress impact our youth, families, and communities.
Here, I offer small gifts of gravity, levity, and the ordinary tension that lies between. We all have little human moments; I believe sharing them is important.
