What is the point? That question is one step toward the spins.
Need there be a point? And if so, what’s the rubric? Who is the expert that deems there is, or needs to be, a point? We are the makers of our own, arbitrary mazes. Then we set out to run them as fast as we can.
Maybe instead of what is the point…we could venture to ask:
What shall I enjoy for lunch today? Not how many calories, and of what type…but what shall I enjoy for lunch today? When we take off the shoulds, we find meaning in the strangest places.
Or, Do I have time to turn my eyes away from business today, for even a moment? To rest?
What have I been putting off, that’s fun? Can I hone and then start tackling my bucket list, revised?
Commit to life. Your life. Your current, too-short, amazing life. Start to fill yourself with the sensation of deep and rich internal substantiation.
External substantiation is a cruel trick. You deserve something vastly greater.
