We had beautiful friends, old and new, over to our house to celebrate the solstice. The children were happy and fussy and everything children should be. The parents were happy and funny and everything parents should be. There was nothing about it that was not lovely. I am grateful, for my family, these people, and the way they honored one another and music and the children who were present. I feel love tonight, and I am so happy to live in this community that is growing and breathing. Thankful as the holiday season continues on its merry trajectory. Plus, who doesn’t appreciate an alcohol lubricated rendition of Every Rose Has Its Thorn? I mean, really?
